There are moral, environmental, emotional, physical, economical and other benefits of raising a cow. Which is why Sewa Canada started “Gift a cow” project in Guyana couple of years ago.
We donate a cow to needy family or individual with an approximate cost of USD 500 with a commitment from beneficiary that cow will be raised compassionately and cannot be sold. Beneficiary is encouraged to sell cow milk for household income.
Pilot initiative was huge success where our first beneficiary today has 10 cow farm and a steady income to support his family.To encourage farmer we donated USD 1000 to build a new house. Please donate and support our “Gift a Cow” project in Guyana to help underprivileged people.
