Mission Aasha: Ending Youth Unemployment Crisis in Nepal |
In 2024 alone, close to 1 million youth left Nepal for various parts of the world, for employment and greener pastures. Mission Aasha (Hope) in collaboration with Sewa Canada International aims to make a difference to empower the youth through employment and entrepreneurship in Nepal. Mission Aasha (Hope), is a global campaign led by Daayitwa , a youth-led Not for Profit in Nepal that aims to connect global champions of change with rural catalysts of hope for building an inclusive and enterprising Nepal. Aasha raises awareness and support for the Growth Entrepreneurship and Employment Promotion (GEEP) Program, which is the core initiative driving our impact. Growth Entrepreneurship and Employment Promotion (GEEP) Program accelerates rural enterprises for boosting employment and income growth in rural Nepal. GEEP is executed through a partnership among Daayitwa, provincial governments, local governments, Nepali diaspora and friends of Nepal. |
GEEP’s objectives To accelerate growth-oriented rural enterprises, build state capability for effective policy implementation and foster stakeholder collaboration for governance innovation.
Since 2013, Daayitwa has executed its rural entrepreneurship and governance innovation programs at the federal level, provincial level, and in 47 municipalities in all 7 provinces of Nepal in collaboration with federal, provincial and local governments. To learn more about Daayitwa at: www.daayitwa.org Sewa Canada International, has undertaken extensive work across Nepal in the past 10 years in areas across empowering youth through education, disaster relief activities, COVID Relief, improving health care infrastructure and providing aid to underprivileged Nepalese citizens. In collaboration with Daayitwa, Sewa Canada International aims to make a difference by empowering Nepalese youth through employment and entrepreneurship, via the GEEP program. Please donate generously to empower youth in Nepal through providing them employment and entrepreneurship. All donations are tax-deductible in Canada. 100% of your generous donations will be transferred to the work on the ground in Nepal via Daayitwa. Regular updates will be provided to donors through the execution phase until project completion.
