Punjab - Saraswati Sindhu Nyas, Jalandhar

Saraswati Sindhu Nyas is running a hostel for girls which was established in 1999 in Jalandhar. Initially it gave shelter to two girls and currently there are total 44 girls staying in the hostel. We have girls of all the states of India such as Leh Ladakh, Punjab, M.P., U.P., Assam etc.. The girls are enrolled into hostel without any caste, creed or religion. These girls are taking their education from schools, colleges and technical institutes as per their requirements. The aim of the trust is to provide economic help to the girls who are single parent child and belong to the financially weaker section of the society. The trust is effortlessly providing education to secure their future. They are provided with all the basic facilities in the hostel and the hostel takes full responsibility to keep them in best possible conditions.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF GIRLS STAYING IN THE HOSTEL

  • All the girls who are studying have achieved very good score in their exams and some have even qualified their exams with first and second position in the class.
  • Students also participate in various extra-curricular activities like dance, music, debate, essay writing etc.
  • Camps are organised for self-defence training and martial arts training in which our girls have highly participatedSome elder girls have now settled with very good jobs such as radio jockey, police officer, nursing, software engineer etc..
  • Some of our girls have also joined NCC and attend camps.

Jammu - Janak Madan Girls Hostel

Janak Madan Girls Hostel was established as a home away from home for children from backward, far flung and terrorist affected areas of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This girls hostel at Pouni Chak is financed and looked after by Sewa Canada without which the poor children would perhaps have been deprived of their chance to success and proper education.

Shri Janak Madan Girls Hostel of Pouni Chak Jammu has been constructed and is being run with financial assistance from Sewa Canada. Ths cost of purchasing land and a major portion of the cost for the construction of the hostel was financed by Sewa Canada. Sewa Canada continues to sponsor major expenses for operations and maintenance of the hostel.

Anand Bhawan, Bihar

Anand Bhawan runs a girls school where education is being given to 105 poor girls; Milk , breakfast, lunch, uniform, stationery and books for all students are also provided.

Along with educating poor girls, Anand Bhawan is operating a Skills Development Program for the youth, including Computer Courses and Training. It is a hub of Socio-Spiritual and Cultural Centre in Village Dumari Buzurg (Dist. Saran, Bihar, 38 km from Patna).

It is a source of inspiration for men, women and youth of the village. There is a Satsang Hall and Library where regular activities are conducted.
